Product Name
Product Introduction
ND-AHF-75-400-W is a wall mounted unit rated 75 A at 400 V AC (3P4W) built for EV charging stations. It removes harmonic current at the point where the non-linear load connects, so the distortion stops at the source instead of spreading through upstream switchgear, transformers and generators.
Wall mounting keeps the filter inside the existing charging cabinet room, so no additional electrical room or floor area is needed at the site.
The unit measures the load current continuously and injects an equal and opposite compensation current, so the grid current returns to a near sinusoidal shape while the load keeps running unchanged. Reactive power compensation and three-phase unbalance correction can be enabled on the same hardware, which means one Active Harmonic Filter AHF can replace a combination of capacitor banks, detuned reactors and balancing equipment.
Product Features and Highlights
Main technical characteristics of this 75 A 400 V Active Harmonic Filter AHF:
- Rack, Wall and Cabinet Options
One power platform is offered as a 19-inch rack module, a wall unit or a floor-standing cabinet. - PWM Speed-Controlled Fan Cooling
Fan speed follows the output current instead of running at a fixed speed, cutting auxiliary consumption and airborne noise. - Selectable Compensation Modes
Harmonic filtering, reactive power compensation and three-phase balancing can be enabled separately or together from one menu. - Residual THDi Below 5%
After compensation the grid current distortion is normally held under 5%, in line with IEEE 519 and GB/T 14549 recommendations. - Low Auxiliary Power Loss
Auxiliary consumption stays a small fraction of rated current, so the unit does not become a new heat source in the room. - Complete Internal Protection Chain
Over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, phase-loss and short-circuit protection act without external relays. - Adaptive ADALINE Self-Learning Control
The controller learns the real grid and load impedance on site, so commissioning finishes without hand-tuning a parameter list for every installation. - Front-Access Service Design
Terminals, fans and modules are reachable from the front, so maintenance does not need side clearance.
Typical Application Scenarios
This Active Harmonic Filter AHF is normally installed on the following loads:
- DC fast charger groups up to 240 kW
- Fuel station forecourt charging
- Municipal charging plazas
- Bus depot overnight charging
- Charging cabinets inside existing electrical rooms
Why Customers Choose Us
Reasons buyers select our Active Harmonic Filter AHF for projects in EV charging stations:
- Selection and Survey Support
Our engineers review your harmonic measurement, calculate the required compensation current and issue a written selection report before you place an order. - Project-Specific Engineering
Capacity, voltage class, CT ratio, cabinet colour and communication protocol are configured against your single line diagram instead of being taken from a catalogue page. - Response within 24 Working Hours
Technical and commercial questions are answered within one working day, and remote commissioning runs over video call, email or WhatsApp. - Manufacturer Scope
We are a Shanghai based power quality manufacturer with our own R and D labs, production workshops and a full-function test bay, so the algorithms, firmware, hardware and cabinet structure are all developed in house. - Spare Parts after Warranty
Fans, control boards, CTs and power modules remain available at reasonable cost once the warranty period ends.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about this Active Harmonic Filter AHF from project engineers and distributors:
Q: What is THDi and what value can be reached?
A: THDi is total harmonic current distortion, the measure of how far the grid current departs from a sine wave. After compensation our units normally hold THDi below 5%, and often below 3% at full load.
Q: How difficult is on-site commissioning?
A: The adaptive algorithm self-learns the site parameters, so no manual calculation of grid impedance is needed. A manual, a parameter guide and remote support are supplied with every unit.
Q: How do you size the compensation current?
A: We start from your harmonic measurement or a site survey: load current, THDi and the target distortion. The required filter current is then calculated with margin for future load growth.
Q: Do we need to replace the existing capacitor bank?
A: No. The Active Harmonic Filter AHF and the capacitor bank can coexist. In many projects the filter handles harmonics while the capacitors continue to supply reactive power.
Q: Is the unit suitable for hot and humid countries?
A: Yes. The operating range is -25 to +60 degrees C with high humidity tolerance. For altitudes above 2000 m a capacity derating applies.
Q: What after-sales support is included?
A: Lifetime free remote technical support, complete manuals and drawings, optional paid on-site commissioning abroad, and spare parts at reasonable cost after the warranty period.
