Product Name
Product Introduction
ND-AHF-125-400-R is a 19 inch rack module rated 125 A at 400 V AC (3P4W) built for EV charging hubs. It removes harmonic current at the point where the non-linear load connects, so the distortion stops at the source instead of spreading through upstream switchgear, transformers and generators.
Charging hubs switch load in and out all day, so the module is specified for repeated step changes instead of a steady industrial duty cycle.
The unit measures the load current continuously and injects an equal and opposite compensation current, so the grid current returns to a near sinusoidal shape while the load keeps running unchanged. Reactive power compensation and three-phase unbalance correction can be enabled on the same hardware, which means one Active Harmonic Filter AHF can replace a combination of capacitor banks, detuned reactors and balancing equipment.
Product Features and Highlights
Main technical characteristics of this 125 A 400 V Active Harmonic Filter AHF:
- Fast Dynamic Tracking
Detection happens within microseconds, so compensation follows welding, crane and press loads that change cycle by cycle. - Parallel Expansion up to Ten Units
Up to ten units share one CT signal, so capacity grows with the plant and N+1 redundancy becomes possible. - 2nd to 50th Harmonic Selection
Individual harmonic orders can be enabled or blocked, so only the orders that actually exist in the network are compensated. - Two Sets of External CT Terminals
Both CT input sets can be assigned to different feeders, which simplifies retrofit wiring inside existing switchgear. - Front-Access Service Design
Terminals, fans and modules are reachable from the front, so maintenance does not need side clearance. - Integrated HMI with Event Log
The LCD panel shows voltage, current, THDi, power factor and module status, with event records for fast diagnosis. - 24-Hour Full-Load Aging Run
Every unit completes a full-load burn-in before packing, so early failures are screened at the factory rather than at your site. - Selectable Compensation Modes
Harmonic filtering, reactive power compensation and three-phase balancing can be enabled separately or together from one menu.
Typical Application Scenarios
This Active Harmonic Filter AHF is normally installed on the following loads:
- DC fast charging hubs and depots
- AC destination charging car parks
- Fleet charging with mixed charger brands
- Charging sites sharing a small transformer
- Highway service areas with step load switching
Why Customers Choose Us
Reasons buyers select our Active Harmonic Filter AHF for projects in EV charging hubs:
- Project-Specific Engineering
Capacity, voltage class, CT ratio, cabinet colour and communication protocol are configured against your single line diagram instead of being taken from a catalogue page. - OEM and ODM Cooperation
Private label panels, custom enclosure dimensions and customised display languages are available for distributors and system integrators. - Response within 24 Working Hours
Technical and commercial questions are answered within one working day, and remote commissioning runs over video call, email or WhatsApp. - Spare Parts after Warranty
Fans, control boards, CTs and power modules remain available at reasonable cost once the warranty period ends. - Full-Load Aging before Packing
Every Active Harmonic Filter AHF runs a 24-hour full-load aging cycle and is inspected against its test record before shipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about this Active Harmonic Filter AHF from project engineers and distributors:
Q: Can several units work in parallel?
A: Yes. Up to ten units can be paralleled for capacity expansion, with a shared CT signal and averaged load sharing between modules.
Q: Can it filter harmonics and compensate reactive power at the same time?
A: Yes. Working modes are selectable: harmonic only, harmonic plus reactive power, or harmonic plus reactive power plus three-phase unbalance.
Q: Do we need to replace the existing capacitor bank?
A: No. The Active Harmonic Filter AHF and the capacitor bank can coexist. In many projects the filter handles harmonics while the capacitors continue to supply reactive power.
Q: What happens when the plant load grows later?
A: Because the platform is modular, additional modules can be paralleled to the existing unit up to ten units, without replacing the original hardware.
Q: Should we choose three-phase three-wire or four-wire?
A: Three-phase four-wire is used where single-phase loads and neutral current exist, such as commercial buildings and data halls. Three-phase three-wire suits balanced industrial drives and 690V distribution.
Q: How difficult is on-site commissioning?
A: The adaptive algorithm self-learns the site parameters, so no manual calculation of grid impedance is needed. A manual, a parameter guide and remote support are supplied with every unit.
